Environmental Agreement (Canada)
An agreement typically negotiated in the context of resource development between a company, the federal government and the relevant provincial or territory government, frequently with the participation of local Aboriginal organisations. Environmental Agreements set out the responsibilities of the parties for the mitigation of any adverse impacts of a given development project.
