| The extract of the ILUA from the Register of Indigenous Land Use Agreements describes the area covered by the agreement as follows:
'Agreement Area' means the lands and waters within the external boundary of the Nyikina
Mangala native title determination application (NNTT Application number: WC99/25) that are
also within the Shire of Derby- West Kimberley Local Government Area, being the area shown
on the map at Annexure 3.

of the Agreement Area and a map of the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley Local Government

The SDWK Nyikina Mangala Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) between the Kimberley Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (APPLICANT) and Daisy Lungunan, Anthony Watson, David Watson, Del Roe, Elizabeth Riley, George Riley, James Watson, John Watson, Lionel Jumburra, Lucy Marshall, Mary Watson, Maude Ningella, Neil Buckle, Neville Poelina, Patsy Yamboo, Sammy Ah Choo, Willie Lennard, Peter Clancy and the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley was registered with the National Native Title Tribunal on 19 November 2008.
The parties agree to the provision of consent by the Nyikina Mangala People to the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley Local Government to undertake construction, operation, use, maintenance and repairs to the infrastructure in the Agreement area as specified under s 24KA(2) of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). In addition, they agree to the provision of a protocol for the preservation and protection of Aboriginal sites and areas of cultural concern.
There is no period of operation specified by the Agreement. |
