The Tiaro Shire Council was the local government entity for the Tiaro Shire. Following local government elections on 15 March 2008, Tiaro Shire Council was amalgamated with Woocoo Shire Council, Maryborough City Council and Hervey Bay City Council to form the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
