According to the 'Objects and Rules of the Pitjantjatjara Homelands Council Aboriginal Corporation' the Council operates on a non-profit basis to:
  • '[S]upport the development of its members in all ways;
  • Develop outstations in Pitjantjatjara land in the States of South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory of Australia;
  • Help Anangu Pitjantjatjaraku to do its work under the Pitjantjatjara Land Rights Act;
  • Help to bring about the self support of its members by the development of economic projects and industries;
  • Support education, job training, health services, work and housing for its members;
  • Help and encourage its members to manage their affairs up their own land; and
  • Help and encourage its members to keep and renew their traditional law, language and culture.'
