Gold Coast Waterwatch is a Gold Coast City Council initiative that fosters community participation in water quality monitoring and protection of the environment. It is linked to the national Waterwatch community quality monitoring program. Its aim is to increase knowledge and encourage community involvement in catchment care. With the help of community groups, schools and Gold Coast City Council, Gold Coast Waterwatch monitors physical, chemical and biological indicators from creeks and rivers.
