Summary Information:
The Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation (LNAC) was established in 1997 and incorporated in May 1998. It operates as an umbrella organisation for members of the larger Larrakia family groups, and is considered to be the peak representative body for any issues regarding Larrakia people.
The LNAC regularly consults on various local developments, such as, native title & land claim negotiations, health and community services, school talksand so forth. The Corporation also facilitates the distribution of all relevant correspondence for its members, including employment & training opportunities.
The 'Governing Committee' meets monthly to ensure there is appropriate consultation amongst the family groups.
