The Dogrib Treaty 11 Council is the fourth Aboriginal group in the Northwest Territories to commence land claim negotiations with the federal Canadian government.
In 1921, Treaty Number 11 was made for the western half of the Northwest Territories, including the southeast part of Yukon Territory, and was signed with the Slave, Dogrib, Loucheuex, and Hare tribes.
The Dogrib Treaty 11 Council is now known as the Tlicho First Nation. The word Tlicho means 'Dogrib' in the Tlicho language.
