The Venn Blocks - Warlangluk (Katherine, Northern Territory) Indigenous Land Use Agreement (the ILUA) enables the Northern Territory (through its Land Corporation) to sub-divide blocks of land south of Katherine for use in horticultural projects. The local native title and traditional owner group, the Jawoyn People, agreed to surrender their native title rights over the land. In return they received freehold title to 16 hectares of nearby land, which is vested in the Warlungluk Aboriginal Corporation. This land was planned for use by the Kalano (Aboriginal) Community Association as an alcohol rehabilitation facility and other community purposes.
A land rights claim over the area made under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (Cth) was withdrawn by the Northern Land Council as part of the Agreement.
