The Lajamanu Financial Assistance Agreement is a funding agreement for the potential Lajamanu Indigenous Protected Area in the northern Tanami area. The Agreement between the Commonwealth of Australia and the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory is for a year's initial funding for the following: the establishment of a Steering Committee comprising Traditional Owners, the CLC, PWCNT, and Environment Australia; the development of a draft Plan of Management based on Traditional Owner aspirations and sustainable use and management of natural resources and cultural heritage; consultations with the Traditional Owners regarding declaring the area an IPA; and field trips.
