| The Sahtu Secretariat functions as the co-ordinating body for seven Sahtu Land Corporations. It operates as a contact point for government departments and agencies and deals with matters such as health, education, environment and economic development. The Secretariat’s mandate is to facilitate the implementation of services and programs for the benefit of Sahtu people according to the Sahtu Dene and Metis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement. |
