| The Mining Act 1980 (NT) is 'an Act relating to mining' (long title). It deals with the regulation of all aspects of mining in the Northern Territory including administration, miners' rights, exploration licences, exploration retention licences, mineral leases and claims, extractive minerals, fossicking, licences in respect of Aboriginal land (see Part XI), wardens and wardens' courts, general provisions relating to mining tenements and the establishment of a mining trust fund. |
