The National Heritage Trust (NHT) was established by the Federal Government in 1997. Its role is to help restore and and conserve Australia's natural environment and natural resources. As a part of this project, the NHT distributes funding to a wide range of community groups at community, regional, state and national levels for environmental and natural resource management projects. The NHT's goal is to deliver improved water quality, less erosion, improved estuarine health, improved vegetation management and improved soil condition. |
