Land use and access agreements were signed in 1998 between the Arnhem Land Aboriginal Land Trust and Perkins Shipping. The agreements provide 'for continuing use of the barge landing and cargo handling areas that service Galiwinku, Gapuwiyak, Milingimbi and Ramingining communities.'
