| The Gabinya Community Education and Development Program (CDEP) Aboriginal Corporation was established in 2001 in Coonabarabran as an Incorporated Aboriginal Association under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 (Cth).
The Objects for which the Association was established are:
to seek funding for future projects for the local Indigenous community
to purchase land for future projects for the local Indigenous community
to develop and provide working programs for Aboriginal and non Aboriginal Youth
to encourage cross-cultural activities
to develop and provide working programs for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal men and women
to improve knowledge of Aboriginal culture in the local community
to develop Aboriginal enterprise.
