The Mildura Aboriginal Corporation was registered under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 (Cth) in 1990. The Corporation's Rules state that it was established to: - acquire the assets of the Sunraysia & District Aboriginal Corporation (which was deregistered on 23 October 1998);
- establish an office;
- establish a centre for social and recreational activities;
- receive funds, donations and title to properties;
- promote Aboriginal culture;
- establish medical and health services;
- assist and support aboriginal families;
- improve the general welfare of Aboriginal people in the district;
- hold shares in corporations whose object is to encourage employment of Aboriginal people.
