The Waimakuku Whanau Trust Board Incorporated represented the descendents of Thomas Baker in a series of claims before the Waitangi Tribunal related to Crown acquisition of freehold land to which he had held title. A settlement was reached in relation to the initial claim but the Tribunal refused to consider subsequent claims.
The Waimakuku Whanau Trust was incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 (NZ) on 28 May 1991.
