The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council is consulted by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council on issues concerning youth. The Youth Councillors are aged from 12-25 years. According to its website (c2008), the Youth Council's "core duty ... is to provide the City’s young people with a representative body to discuss youth issues, initiatives, programmes and services relevant to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community", and for this it has its own operating budget.
