The Islanders Board of Industry and Service (IBIS) is the trading name of the Island Industries Board, a statutory authority under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities (Justice, Land and Other Matters) Act 1984 (Qld). It is charged with the task of providing goods and services, as well as career and economic development opportunities, to Torres Strait Islander communities. It is also responsible for reporting to the Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships.
