The descendants of the original owners of Marearoa A and B Blocks are signatories to the Maraeroa A and B Block Deed of Settlement. Te Maru o Rereahu Trust negotiators initialled the deed on behalf of the descendants of the original owners of the Maraeroa blocks. The descendants are affiliated to Rereahu, Ngäti Tuwharetoa, Raukawa, Ngäti Maniapoto and others.
