The principles that underpin the Agreement and targets that are outlined in the Agreement include: 1. Strengthening and establishing relationships   2. Initiating opportunities and building existing plans and policies  3. Supporting growth in the capacity and sustainability of the sector 4. Promoting the expansion of service quality and innovation The strategies that are to be implemented by the Agreement focus on developing and promoting effective working relationships with the healthcare sector; supporting and improving effective and versatile service delivery to achieve desired health outcomes; improving funding arrangements; improving research in Indigenous Australian health; and utilisation of e-health technologies. Focus areas that GPQ and QAIHC are envisaged to act include: health system reform; indigenous health leadership, preventative health, policy reform and program implementation, and workforce strategies and skill development. GPQ and QAIHC are expected to provide details on progress and updates against focus areas and implementation strategies; annual reviews between QAIHC and GPQ; and quarterly meetings between QAIHC and GPQ.
