BHP Coal Pty Ltd (operating as Queensland Coal) is comprised of the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and BHP Mitsui Coal (BMC) assets in the Bowen Basin. BMA is Australia's largest coal producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal and BMC owns and operates two ope-cut metallurgical coal mines in the Bowen Basin (South Walker Creek Mine and Poitrel Mine). BHP Coal Pty Ltd operates in the Bowen Basin, Central Queensland, and has its own coal-loading terminal at Hay Point, near the city of Mackay. |
