Agreement area:
The agreement area covers about 116 sq km and is located on both sides of the Great Northern Highway about 15km north east of the Pardoo Roadhouse. The Extract from the Register of Indigenous Land Use Agreements identifies the area subject to this ILUA, per the 'defined terms' attachment of the agreement. Commencement and Termination: The agreement commences on the date that all parties have signed. The ILUA came into effect from the date of registration on 20 November 2018.
Native Title Provisions:
Right to negotiate: The parties agree that the right to negotiate provisions of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) do not apply to any of the agricultural land transactions agreed to by this ILUA. Extinguishment: The parties agree to the surrender and extinguishment of native title rights and interests in favour of the state, in respect of the sale, transfer or conveyance of agricultural land for an estate in fee simple. The parties also agree to the surrender and extinguishment of all native title rights and interests in respect of the area of Easement 2.
