Summary Information:

Authorised under s 197 of the Torres Strait Islander Land Act 1991 (Qld) (TSILA), the Torres Strait Islander Land Regulation 2011 (Qld) supports the efficient delivery of the major policy objectives of the TSILA. These objectives include to provide for the grant of land for Torres Strait Islander people and to enable them to use the land for cultural and/or economic purposes.
