The Yorta Yorta Aboriginal Community are native title claimants who, on 12th December 2002, had their native title claim appeal rejected by the High Court. The Community 'has in excess of 4,000 people, and their determination area covers 2,000-3000 square kilometres of crown land from New South Wales and Victoria in the mid-Murray region'.
