    Summary Information:
    The City of Yarra covers an area of approximately 19.5 square kilometres of inner Melbourne, northeast of the Central Business District (CBD). It comprises the suburbs of Abbotsford, Burnley, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, Fitzroy, North Carlton, North Fitzroy, Richmond, and the southern part of Alphington. The municipal boundaries include areas of bushland, the Yarra River and the Merri and Darebin Creeks, as well as a mix of residential, industrial and commercial buildings. Retail shopping strips and social housing are also present. The area is densely populated with a culturally diverse population.
