    Summary Information:
    The Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW (LGSA) represents the Local Government Association of NSW and the Shires Association of NSW, the peak industry bodies for Local Government in NSW.

    The Associations represent the views of NSW metropolitan, regional and rural councils to other governments, provide industrial relations and other specialist services to councils and promote Local Government to the community. They have about 60 joint staff who implement Executive and Conference decisions and provide research support for the policy positions and standing committees of both Associations.
