The Mackay Surf Lifesaving Club Indigenous Land Use Agreement (the ILUA) was one of the first ILUAs to be registered in Queensland, along with the Mackay Harbour Beach Park ILUA. The native title parties consented to the issue of a 75 year lease to Mackay Surf Lifesaving Club over a parcel of land. The extract of the ILUA from the Register of Indigenous Land Use Agreements states that consent was also given for the 'construction and maintenance of a new club house and associated facilities and activities on the land', which is located along the North Mackay coast. |
