	The area of the ILUA covers Exploration Licence Applications 10063, 10064, 10169, 10407 and 22771, which are located on Mount Doreen Perpetual Pastoral Lease (PPL No. 1035). Summary Information:
The Tanami Exploration, Central Land Council Indigenous Land Use Agreement (the ILUA) allows exploration and mining to occur, in line with the terms of Exploration Licences (ELs) and Mining Leases (MLs), in an area north west of Yuendemu in central Australia. The ILUA enables the grant of mining, exploration and related tenements on the land for 20 years and includes all associated activities such as use of water resources for ore treatment and construction and operation of any pipeline and equipment associated with the exploration and mining activity. The ILUA means that the company will be able to have an unlimited number of tenements within the ILUA area readily granted in the future. In return, the ILUA acknowledges native title rights, and will provide employment, training, sacred site protection, rehabilitation of the environment and compensation. Without this ILUA, the mining, exploration and related activities may have attracted the right to negotiate and been subject to the future act provisions of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) or may have been granted invalidly.
