| Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) is a provider of rail freight transportation and its supporting services. GWI functions as a holding company with subsidiaries that own and operate regional freight railroads. GWI own or have interests in more than 20 railroads in five countries (United States, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia and Australia), and operate over 8,000 miles of owned and leased track, with access to an additional 3,000 miles through track-access arrangements.
