The Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) represents minerals and energy companies operating in Western Australia to facilitate an increasingly supportive operating environment. Its aim is to encourage the community and government to understand the importance of the minerals and energy industry to Western Australia and be an advocate for its growth.

CME's member companies are responsible for approximately 90% of the total value of minerals and energy exploration and production in Western Australia. In 2001, the industry was worth $27 billion and was the state's largest sector.
