Summary Information: | ||
The Northern Land Council (NLC) and the Territory Construction Association (TCA) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at maximising the participation of Indigenous people in new development projects throughout the Top End of Australia. Together the NLC and the TCA are well placed to provide benefits to prospective employees and employers including: - Coordinated training appropriate for each project's requirements; - One point of contact for all Indigenous training and employment needs; - An independent and cost effective service; - Extensive local knowledge. The MOU stems from a relationship between the two representative bodies that has grown as a result of the Alice Springs to Darwin Railway Project. |
