Summary Information:
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was entered into between the Commonwealth of Australia (the Commonwealth), Peko Mines Limited (Peko) and Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia Limited (EZ). The MOU set out the desire of the parties to develop and mine uranium ore deposits in the Ranger Project Area and to produce and sell uranium concentrate from that ore.

The MOU elaborated on and was supplemental to an Agreement which had been entered into between the parties on the 30 October 1974 and set out the parties' understandings on major issues affecting the development of the project prior to the preparation of formal agreements.
