Summary Information:
The Western Australian Registry of the National Native Title Tribunal has developed a mediation protocol intended for use in future act mediations - under section 31 (3) of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) parties negotiating about a future act under the right to negotiate provisions may request the Tribunal to mediate.

The Protocol will allow for parties to confirm their commitment to the negotiations and agree on ground rules ahead of the mediation.
