Native Title Representative Body for all of western Queensland, from Wellesley Islands Group in the Gulf of Carpentaria to the South Australian border - therefore including the Gulf region and the Greater Mt Isa region (AIATSIS 2008).
From 1 July 2008 the Gulf region will instead be represented by the Cape York Land Council and the Greater Mt Isa region will be part of a larger region encompassing areas of the Gurang Land Council and Queensland South Native Title Services. This is part of a restructuring of NTRBs in Queensland, following a review by the federal government (NNTT 2008: 5). |
