The Lara to Birregurra Pipeline ILUA allows for the granting of permits to GasNet (Australia) to construct, operate and own the section of a gas pipeline from Lara to Birregurra in south west Victoria.
Permits previously granted for the pipeline are validated by the agreement, 'to the extent that any of those titles and permits was invalidly granted' under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). The agreement also specifies that the right to negotiate provisions of the Act do not apply to any of those previously granted permits nor to any granted in future that are required for the operation, maintenance or related conduct of the pipeline in the area of the agreement.
The State of Victoria is also party to the agreement. |
