	The area of the ILUA covers all mining leases and claims specified in the agreement, which all lie within the Bulloo, Paroo and Quilpie Shire Council areas and Goolburri ATSIC regional council in south west Queensland.

Summary Information:
The Small Mining Project - Yowah Area Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) allows for the granting of Mining Leases and Mining Claims for opal prospecting, exploration and mining in the Yowah mining district. The State of Queensland, the Yowah Opal Miners Community Services Incorporation (YOMCAS) and 39 named miners have made the agreement with the Queensland South Representative Body Aboriginal Corporation (the native title representative body for the area) and 5 people named as the native title parties representing the Budjiti and Mardigan People. (Details of the named parties are available from the National Native Title Tribunal on the extract for ILUA QI2002/059 from the Register of Indigenous Land Use Agreements). The leases and claims are granted subject to a set of 'Native Title Conditions'. Procedures relating to cultural heritage issues must be followed and the grantee is to make a payment (specified in the agreement) to the 'Native Title Group'. The right to negotiate provisions of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) do not apply to the tenements granted under this agreement.
