The Department of Premier and Cabinet is one of the 10 departments of the Victorian public service. The Department gives advice to the Premier on issues which affect the Government as a whole as well as on those specific to his portfolio as Minister for Multicultural Affairs. The Department also advises the Minister for the Arts and the Minister for Information and Communication Technology. The Department's roles are fourfold. These are: '-Supporting the Premier as head of Government and Cabinet; -Providing strategic policy leadership; -Developing whole-of-government initiatives; and -Delivering services and programs in relation to Government Information and Communication and Arts Victoria.'
