The SRA provides activities for young people through the renovation of the local pool and oval, the employment of sports officers and the provision of sports equipment. Shared Responsbilities The shared responsibilities of the parties are noted in the SRA Fact Sheet as follows: 'As part of their SRA, the community will run a range of sport and recreation activities for residents. Community members will also take part in community planning (by developing a five-year plan) and establish a management group to monitor and implement the plan. The Australian Government will provide funds for the sport and recreation activities that include renovating the local the pool and oval, purchasing Go Karts, and funding for a pool manager and a women's sports officer. The community will implement a 'no school, no pool' policy to improve school attendance. The community will also help to renovate the facilities and maintain them.' |
