The Jawi Aboriginal Corporation was set up to aid the Traditional Owners of Sunday Island, the Jawi people.

The aims of the Corporation include to:
(a) give effect to the wishes and opinions of the Traditional Owners in relation to the management, use and control of their lands;
(b) support and develop education, employment, job training and housing services for Traditional Owners; and
(c) establish infrastructure for the community.
