The Dubbo Aboriginal Working Party was established as a result of the Dubbo Aboriginal Community Summit in 2001. Its members come from various language/nation groups within Dubbo, and were selected by the then three peak Indigenous bodies in New South Wales: ATSIC, NSWALC and DAA. The main role of the Working Party is 'to move on issues identified at the summit and other impediments that are preventing our people from improving their Cultural, Economic and Social conditions in partnership with the general community'. |
