| The Sand Mining Agreement is a template Future Act Agreement provided by the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT). It is envisaged by the NNTT that these agreements will be used to assist Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to negotiate Future Act Agreements that can be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. The Sand Mining Agreement is designed to be used for negotiations between government and a native title party. The template agreement covers matters including: (a) permitting the grant of a mining licence; and (b) stipulating that if a determination that native title exists in the Agreement area is made, the native title party will receive royalties from the conduct of mining under the mining licence. | ||
