The Negotiating Framework - Pastoral No Phaseout Agreement is a template Negotiating Framework Agreement provided by the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT). It is envisaged by the NNTT that these agreements will be used to assist Indigenous Australians and non-Indigenous Australians to negotiate Negotiating Framework Agreements that can be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. The Negotiating Framework - Pastoral No Phaseout Agreement is designed to be made between pastoralists and native title applicants. The template agreement covers areas for negotiation, including: where the negotiation will be held and what rights and interests will be agreed as residing in the respective parties, including the native title rights of the native title applicants. The agreement also stipulates that the traditional owners would be given first option to purchase the lease if the pastoral station were to be sold. | ||
