The Negotiating Framework - No Phaseout Agreement is a template Pastoral Agreement provided by the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT). It is envisaged by the NNTT that these agreements will be used to assist Indigenous Australians and non-Indigenous Australians to negotiate Pastoral Agreements that can be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. The Negotiating Framework - No Phaseout Agreement is designed to enable the making of a Heads of Agreement between pastoralists and native title applicants. The template agreement covers areas such as acknowledgment of the validity of the pastoral lease, as well as recognition of certain traditional rights and practices, including conducting ceremonies; access to cultural sites; bringing school children to certain sites; and Indigenous management practices. | ||
