The Pastoral Lease Grant Agreement is designed to be made between government and Indigenous communities.

The template agreement sets out the aims of the agreement, which include that it will suspend but not extinguish any traditional rights or interests, and will 'foster and develop a mutually beneficial relationship between all such persons having any such estates, interests or rights in relation to the use and enjoyment of the Land.'
