According to the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women's Council Aboriginal Corporation's Rules, the object of the Council is to provide a forum for NPY women to discuss concerns; promote and support their authority and achievements; gather and provide information on issues of importance to NPY women; and to promote and encourage the law and culture of NPY women.
The NPY Women's Council Aboriginal Corporation was incorporated in 1994 pursuant to the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976 (Cth).
