The Djugarargyn Aboriginal Corporation 'Promoting Functional and Resilient Families' Shared Responsibility Agreement (SRA) was agreed between the Djugarargyn Indigenous Community, the Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) and the Djugarargyn Aboriginal Corporation on 19 June 2007. The SRA aims to provide greater opportunities for treatment of youth at risk, and in particular young women at risk. Shared Responsibility Agreements are agreements between governments and Indigenous communities to provide discretionary funding in return for community obligations. The new arrangements developed from an initiative of the Council of Australian Governments and replace the previous ATSIC system of funding.
