| The Murray Bridge 'Mixin' It Up Youth Project' Shared Responsibility Agreement (SRA) is an agreement between the Australian Government, the South Australian Government and the Murray Bridge Indigenous Community to provide additional funding to the Lower Murray Nungas' Club to purchase musical equipment and conduct music workshops for the youth of Murray Bridge for eight weeks. Shared Responsibility Agreements are agreements between governments and Indigenous communities to provide discretionary funding in return for community obligations. The new arrangements developed from an initiative of the Council of Australian Governments and replace the previous ATSIC system of funding. | Purpose To provide mentors and a safe venue for at-risk youth to attend a music workshop once a week for at least eight weeks, promote discussion and mutual support amongst the youth of Murray Bridge, and provide information on other services available within the community. Shared Responsibilities The Lower Murray Nungas' Club will provide facilities for the workshop, identify elders as mentors and youth workers to administer the programme, and liaise with other Indigenous organisations to promote and evaluate the programme. Families will encourage and support participation, and attend performances and other group activities during and at the conclusion of the workshop. FaCSIA (Cth) and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (SA) will provide funding, and staff from the Adelaide Indigenous Coordination Centre will attend performances. Performance Indicators and Feedback Mechanisms The Lower Murray Nungas' Club will provide quarterly reports to the Adelaide Indigenous Coordination Centre (ICC) stating the number of youth attending workshops, the number of CDs produced and the number of performances completed. The Adelaide ICC will review the quarterly reports and attend specified performances. | ||
