Summary Information: | ||
The Bathurst 'Supporting Young People and Families' Shared Responsibility Agreement (SRA) is an agreement between the Bathurst Indigenous Community, the Australian and New South Wales Governments and local organisations. The Agreement provides the funding and resources for strategies to address four community-identified priorities (see below) which include activities with a focus on youth, nutrition and life-skills and the engagement of a Youth Coordinator and Sports Coordinator to work with the community. Shared Responsibility Agreements are agreements between governments and Indigenous communities to provide discretionary funding in return for community obligations. The new arrangements developed from an initiative of the Council of Australian Governments and replace the previous ATSIC system of funding.
