Detailed Information:
The purpose of the New South Wales Aboriginal Health Information Guidelines is to effectively and consistently manage health and health-related information about Aboriginal persons in NSW. This includes 'collection, ownership, storage, security, access, release, usage, reporting and interpretation of information,' as well as confidentiality and privacy (Guidelines, 1).
The Aboriginal Health Information Management Group (AHIMG) will oversee the implementation, monitoring and revision of the Guidelines. AHIMG will also develop Subsidiary Agreements to the Guidelines in negotiation with the parties to the NSW Aboriginal Health Partnership.
