The South African Wine Industry Council (WIC) was launched at the end of June 2006.
According to the Wines of South Africa Website, the WIC 'body is aimed at fast-tracking certain major wine industry issues which involve transformation and addressing growth opportunities to streamlining relations between the industry, government and all relevant stakeholders in order to stimulate competitiveness and development in both the local and global markets.' |
